On being told what does not need doing
Including being told that nothing needs doing at all, which is the version that costs the shop money.
The best mechanic in Northern Virginia hands down. Bill is honest, and his staff are friendly and courteous. We always pay way less than the dealer quotes, and usually what they recommend isn't even necessary once Bill has a look. A real gem:-)
Bill Frame and his team have an amazing work ethic, deliver on commitments and at a fair price. I never worry about quality at Frames or about work being done unnecessarily.

Best shop around as far as I’m concerned. They tell it to you straight, give you options, and most importantly get it done right. Wouldn’t take my car anywhere else if it needs work.
They take great care of my car and have always been helpful about squeezing me in to their tight schedule. They are honest and do a good job of explaining what is wrong with the vehicle even if you do not know much about the technical stuff. Highly recommend them. They are the only car people I trust.
On knowing the car
Diagnosis before parts. One of these is a pre-purchase inspection that stopped somebody buying the wrong car.
Good old fashioned garage. Bill is honest man and all the wrenches seem very knowledgeable. Bill inspected a couple new cars pre-purchase for me and saved me from a huge mistake. Also the 50’s Cola machine is pretty sweet

I would give the highest recommendations for this shop! David and Bill who helped me with my car are very kind and nice. They are honest and will explain the repairs you need in a clear way and work very diligently to make sure repairs are done in a timely manner.

Bill and his team are amazing, honest and hard working. My whole family takes their cars there; my mom comes up from Florida even. I drive a 2005 Honda CR-V with just under 200,000 miles on it and it's going strong. Wouldn't trust my vehicle with anyone else!
I finally found a repair shop I trust with my vehicles. I wanted a "mom and pop" type of shop and that's exactly what Frames Automotive is and I love it. You know your car will be well taken care of. If you live in Vienna, go. You won't be disappointed.
